⭐Namaste and welcome to my Virtual Cookspace, flavourhome, a Food Blog for Vegetarian recipes made simple and easy!
About Me
⭐ I am Sutiksha Devliyal, a mother of 2 lovely boys, wife of an Army Officer, a dedicated Homemaker, a teacher by profession and a passionate Home-Chef.
⭐ My father is a Retd. Army Officer and my mother is a loving and the most compassionate human being. Being from an Army background, I have travelled to a lot of places in India and so have completed my education also from different places. This is how, I have come across the different cultures and cuisines of India.
⭐ After marriage, I have lived in many places and hence gained a vast culinary experience too. But it was not until 2014 that I started cooking single-handedly and my interest in cooking increased to the level where I wanted to try out new dishes, almost every day at my home.
⭐ Also, it was the time when my elder son was still a toddler and I wanted to give him healthy choices in terms of sweets and baked goodies. That was when I started experimenting a lot with the food. I have no formal training in cooking or baking but with the sheer passion of creating new things, I did cook up and baked many interesting dishes.
About Flavourhome
⭐ Flavourhome has come into existence, because of a remarkably interesting incident of my life. My elder son was greatly upset one day, knowing that when he would grow up to be a young man, he would probably have to stay away from us for his higher studies and work. He was almost in tears and said, “I don’t want to stay alone without you guys. Who would cook for me?” (my little man didn’t have anything better to convince us 😉) I said, “You can eat outside or cook your food yourself. There are in fact many options for food.” And pat came his reply, “But that would be nothing near to what you cook, mom.”
⭐ Well, I did not have an answer to this. That was when I thought of creating a journal, where I can write down all my recipes and hand over it to my kids, so that they can use it whenever required. But my Husband, Ashish, suggested it would be better to create an online journal of all these traditional and other recipes. And this is how we thought of our YouTube Channel and this Food Blog.
⭐ In this Blog, I publish recipes, which have been tried and tested by me. I, not only publish the recipes, but also write in detail the different aspects of them. My main concern while publishing these recipes have always been, that they should be workable, simple and made with easily found ingredients.
The recipes are cooked and clicked by me and the technical aspect of the blog is handled by my husband, Ashish.
⭐ I started my YouTube Channel Flavourhome by Sutiksha in the year 2019 and my Blog in the year 2020. In a short span of time, I have received such great love and response from my readers that I am humbly flattered and feel immensely motivated to continue with great zeal and efforts.
⭐ I want to take this opportunity to thank all my dear readers for their valuable time they spend reading my blogs and trying out my recipes. I feel so glad when you all come back to my space here and let me know, how these recipes work for you and you enjoy making them at home.
