Oats Pancake is an interesting way to eat healthy oats. This is an eggless oats recipe and can be made instantly.
In this blog post I have shared detailed step wise pics of how to make oats pancake, a quick recipe video and some important points to make perfect eggless pancakes from oats.

Let’s begin then!
Oats
Oats are seeds of a grain also known as Oats. They are consumed as whole grain food, which is why they take long time to cook. Hence, they are sold in market in different processed forms like rolled, crushed etc. Mostly these processed forms are preferred due to their ease of cooking time and process.
Oats are one of the most favorite grain among the weight watchers. If eaten in correct manner oats can help in weight loss journey.
Rolled oats, the most common form in which oats are sold and consumed, turn very mushy when cooked. I find them slimy too and that is one reason I just can’t have them in the porridge form. So even though I keep buying these rolled oats packets, they never turn up on my platter. This time when I bought oats I was determined I will make something yummy out of it so that I can eat them happily.
And then after a few trials, when I made these pancakes perfectly I was beyond happy and wanted to share the recipe with you all… and here it is!!

Important Points for Oats Pancake
1.Oats – I have used rolled oats for this recipe. These are instant oats and are cooked quickly.
2.Banana – To give a natural sweet taste to the pancakes I have used bananas in the recipe. You can use medium size bananas of any quality.
3.Curd / Yoghurt – As this is an eggless recipe, curd is must in this recipe. It also gives a very refreshing taste in the pancakes.
4.Baking Soda – In this eggless oats recipe we will need some leavening agent to get a perfect pancake texture. So by adding baking soda these oats pancake will get perfect texture and taste.
5.Honey – Honey is an optional ingredient in this recipe. You can totally skip it if you don’t want any added sweetness. As it is in this recipe we have natural sweetness from bananas.

6.Cinnamon powder – Cinnamon really goes great in pancakes and give out a wonderful taste and aroma. So do add it in the pancake batter.
7.Vanilla Essence – Vanilla essence is for flavour. You can substitute it with elaichi powder / cardamom powder.
8.Milk – Milk is required for making a perfect consistency of the pancake batter.

Ingredients
- Rolled Oats – 1 cup
- Bananas – 2 , medium size
- Curd – 1/4 cup
- Baking Soda – 1 tsp
- Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
- Honey – 1 tbsp (optional)
- Milk as required
Method
1.Dry grind the oats and make a puree of bananas in a mixer jar.

2.Take oats flour in a big bowl. Add banana puree to it. Add curd, baking soda, cinnamon powder, honey and vanilla essence. Mix everything nicely. Make sure oats flour is completely mixed nicely so that later it is cooked properly. Cover and let it rest for 10 min so that oats can absorb moisture.

3. After 10 minutes, add little milk (I have added 2 tbsp milk) and adjust the consistency of the pancake batter as shown in the video.
4. Now heat a non-stick pan on low heat and spread some pancake batter on it. Spread it little thick only. Cover and cook it on low for about 5 minutes.

5.After 5 minutes, flip and cook the pancake from the other side too. Once done, take it out in a plate.

6. Serve pancakes with fresh fruits, curd/ yoghurt, some nuts and finally topped with maple syrup or caramel sauce.
