Bhelpuri is an Indian street food. It is normally made with puffed rice, some dry savouries, onion, some different flavoured sauces, lemon etc.
This recipe of poha bhel is inspired from the dish of bhelpuri only. It is a street food which I had never tried before. Once while we were in Kota (Rajasthan), I had this from a street vendor and it was awesome. After that I started making it at home for a quick fix at snack time.
This recipe includes very less ingredients and you can easily customize it with anything, literally anything you like.

1.Poha – For this recipe we we will take Poha which is not very big in size. We will soak poha. Please read below the correct way of soaking poha.
2.Peanuts – We will need peanuts for this recipe and we’ll roast them to avoid increasing calories by frying them. However, if you like fried peanuts then you can absolutely fry them in oil.
3.Vegetables – Vegetables like onion, potato, tomato, green chillies, coriander etc will be used in this recipe. You can add other vegetables of your choice which do not need cooking and can be eaten raw like carrots, cucumber etc.
4.Spices – Other than salt only spices added to this poha bhel are mint leaves powder and powdered sugar. You can add other spices like chat masala, black pepper powder, red chilli flakes etc in this poha recipe.
5.Sev – Sev is a dry savoury snacks made of gram flour in different shapes, mostly thin and long. In this recipe you can use any type of sev you like. I have added lemon sev which is sour and a bit spicy.
